Most lovers of French gourmet cuisine know the restaurant of Michel Bras, situated on the beautiful Aubrac plateau. Together with his brother André Bras and Forge de Laguiole, he designed this cheese knife to optimize functionality.

The shape of the stamina wood handle ensures the knife balances perfectly on the table. The surface and design of the blade allow for a precise cut. Initially designed to cut Roquefort cheese, this Bras/Forge de Laguiole knife is ideal for all kinds of soft, crumbly cheeses.

Note: The Forge de Laguiole workshop is located in the village of Laguiole, France, where the Laguiole knife was invented in the early 1800s.
Fact: Unlike most French Laguiole manufacturers, Forge de Laguiole does not outsource any suppliers outside of France.

Handle Material: Stamina wood — a laminate made of dyed veneers impregnated with phenolic resin and compressed under high pressure and heat. Although stamina wood is highly resistant to water, it is not dishwasher safe.
